This rare split EP by American hardcore bands Hatebreed and Neglect was released by Stillborn Records and got the band initial acclaim.
This was followed by highly acclaimed EP Under the Knife that was released in 1996. This compilation EP by the band was first released by Smorgasbord Records and then it was re-released several times.
The year 1997 brought the best memories for the band as it witnessed the release of their first mainstream blockbuster titled Satisfaction is the Death of Desire. Penned by critics as the "hardcore classic," this breakthrough album lifted them out from the underground scene and earned them widespread fame.
Released by Victory Records, the album sold more copies than any other debut in the history of the record company and also got them a record deal with Universal Records.
With Perseverance, Hatebreed expanded their fan base even more. One of the hit from this Universal Records released album was featured on the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack in 2003.
After that, The Rise of Brutality and Supremacy further maintained the supremacy of the band. Currently working on their next album, Hatebreed will surely rock their fans in days to come with their wonderful music.
While Hatebreed saw record-breaking sales of all their albums, it is simply nothing when compared to their on-stage presence. The band has gathered loud cheers and rave reviews for their live performances.
Their constant touring schedule pushed them beyond the boundaries of the hardcore punk scene and they are now regarded the kings of live acts.
Their 2004 Unholy Alliance tour in Europe with Slayer, Slipknot and Mastodon is a classic one along with the 10 year anniversary show at Toad's Place in 2005 in New Haven where they overshadowed others with supremely energetic performances.
In June, 2006, Hatebreed went on an extensive European tour which included a performance at the Download Festival in Donnington, UK.
After that, they had the honor of playing at main stage at Ozzfest 2006 while for 2007 Ozzfest, they headlined the second stage on the tour. "Live Dominance" is a concert DVD that contains the selection of their unforgettable live performances.
