Soon after he started gaining recognition for his extraordinary performance on the guitar, Gary Clark Jr. started getting more offers to play for bigger events and more famous artists. Critics started praising him for the work he was doing in the blues genre and acknowledged that his music clearly portrayed how blues is the base of all the other genres of music, including hip hop and country. The young musician’s talent on the guitar is so profound that he is often compared to the legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Hazel.
Gary Clark Jr. released his latest album “Blak and Blu” in 2012. This album had a different beat to all the ones he had released before.
