The Magique show will take place at the Tropicana Showroom, a facility located in the heart of the Tropicana Casino and Resort Atlantic City that can cater to about two thousand people. Situated on the Brighton Avenue on Boardwalk, the building is a casino, spa, hotel and entertainment facility. It consists of more than two thousand luxury rooms in what was once known as the Ambassador Hotel. This hotel was inaugurated in 1919, costing a whopping amount of four million dollars. The architectural design was by Warren & Wetmore and the initial building consisted of four hundred rooms. Another story was added later on which doubled the capacity of the hotel.
A tragic event in 1931 led to the hotel shutdown. This was when gangster Mickey Duffy was shot during his stay at the Ambassador Hotel. Remaining closed till the 70s, the building was purchased by Ramada in 1978. The property underwent renovations summing up to seventy million dollars and the place was inaugurated as The Phoenix.
The newly developed building provides a five hundred and sixty room hotel with a ballroom and theatre facility. Based on sixty thousand square feet of land, the center became one of Atlantic City’s most popular venues. It currently provides the people with over one hundred and thirty five table games including roulette, blackjack, poker and craps and three thousand slot machines. It also offers a marketplace where visitors can shop and eat delicious meals at restaurants. The marketplace is named The Quarter where customers can watch movies, treat themselves to spa treatments or just relax at the bars.
