This amazing play was originally titled as Come Fly with Me and its first run was in 2009 in Atlanta Georgia at the very spacious Alliance Theater. In March 2010 after initial previews it was opened for theater lovers. The set is designed by James Youmans, lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Peter McBoyle and costumes by Katherine Roth. Music of this revue is quite amazing as it is an 18 piece live instrumental produced and arranged by Dave Pierce and all the main songs danced to are of legendary singer Frank Sinatra. Twyla Tharp who has been the main brain behind Come Fly Away has choreographed many songs of Frank Sinatra like Sinatra Suite and also Nine Sinatra Songs. The story of Come Fly Away is set in a New York City night club and tells the story about the love and romance of four dancing couples namely Babe, Sid, Chanos, Slim, Marty, Betsy, Kate and Hank. One couple is innocent and shy, one has a one night love affair, one couple decides to end its turbulent relationship to become just friends and last but not the least one couple always wants to be at the center of attention. In short it is a dance story told that is full of love, complexity, jealousy and intimacy.
 
This two Act play was a decent success as  in its initial run of five months it grossed $574,465 and on average it played to an audience of approx 49%, this musical was finally closed in September 2010. Since then a National Tour has been announced that will commence in Chicago in May 2011. The musical received good reviews from most of the critics like dance writer Alastair Macaulay wrote in The New York Times referring to the musical as "less sensational than sensationalistic..this is intimacy perverted into exhibitionism". Georgia Post writer Natasha Jibladze referred to the production as "Very interesting and moving performance".
 
This outstanding musical won laurels for Twyla Tharp as she won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Choreography. Apart from this Come Fly Away was also nominated for the prestigious Tony Awards in categories of Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Karine Plantadit and Best Choreography for Twyla Tharp. Some of the famous songs in the musical are Pick Yourself Up, Just Friends, Teach Me Tonight, Take Five, One for My Baby and Witchcraft.
