Formed in 1973 by a renowned Chinese choreographer Lin Hwai-min, Cloud Gate Dance Theater of Taiwan is the oldest known dance company in China. The gifted artist has also received honorary doctorates from five universities in Hong Kong and Taiwan and has been the subject of full length documentaries by Discovery Channel, ARTE and Opus Arte.
