Chant: A Seraphic Fire Candlelight Experience brings one of the oldest Australian Christmas traditions to North America this year to revive the holiday season spirit. Under the leadership of its artistic director and founder, Patrick Dupre Quigley, the ensemble showcases some of the contemporary commissions as well as the classics such as Gregorian chants each season. In 2012, Seraphic Fire was the only vocal ensemble all over North & South America that was nominated for two Grammy Awards for its recordings of A Seraphic Fire Christmas and Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem. Now this time around, Seraphic Fire's lineup of talented vocalists will bring Chant: A Seraphic Fire Candlelight Experience during this coming Christmas season.

Over the years, Seraphic Fire has earned numerous achievements with its critically acclaimed works. The ensemble has been able to sell a substantial number of units nationwide, becoming one of the highest selling vocal ensembles in the nation. Their 2010 release Vespers of the Blessed Virgin climbed its way up to the top spot on iTunes Classical Music chart following its release. Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem on the other hand was not only nominated for a Grammy, it also took number 7 spot on the Billboard Classical Charts. Christmas album by Seraphic Fire also caused quite a stir upon its release and took the top ten spot on iTunes Classical chart.  

Other than Seraphic Fire, the organization has also laid foundation to Firebird Chamber Orchestra. Firebird Chamber Orchestra collaborates with Seraphic Fire apart from performing orchestral pieces only. Firebird Chamber Orchestra also comprises of some of the most talented musicians from across the country. With its performances, Seraphic Fire aims at bringing to light the overshadowed musical pieces that hold significant cultural value. Adding up to that is ensemble's aim to offer a platform to musicians from various backgrounds to hone and flaunt their skills. The organization also carries out its educational programs to better the understanding of the local community.

The history of Carols by Candlelight goes all the way back to 19^th Century Australia. However, the tradition got mainstream popularity later in 1937 when it was staged in Melbourne, Australia. The first ever Carols by Candlelight event took place in proper form back in 1938 where it attracted more than 10,000 people. From there onwards, Carols by Candlelight became one of the popular Christmas traditions in the world and now its events take place in different parts of the world during the holiday season. The biggest annual Carol by Candlelight event takes place at King's Domain Gardens in Melbourne on Christmas.
