Hilltoppers have a great winning record in golf as they have got ten conference championships to their name. The football team became the national champion in the year 2002. Apart from this, the Hilltoppers have won eleven conference football championships. The best record till date is in the game of basketball. Since 1930, Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have won a whooping 32 conference tournaments and has got 23 NCAA tournament appearances. In 1971 the basketball team managed to reach the prestigious NCAA Tournament Final Four. The Lady Toppers won the NCAA Women Division 1 Basketball Championship in 2003 and 2008.
