The club competed against Padova twice and won, finishing the tournament at second position. Due to this, Udinese was promoted to Prima Categoria, the first level. However, the team could not make it to the national stage. In 1922, the club once again entered the F.I.G.C. Italian Football Championship, taking advantage of the stronger club's absence. Udinese stayed in the top flight due to its second place in the league. The years from 1924 to 1925 were both memorable and productive for Udinese as the club was registered in Group F II Division. The championship was even and there were three teams in a conflict to win including Udinese, Olympia River and Vicenza. As the match was a draw, playoffs were required to determine which team would make it to the final. Udinese stayed in the Second Division till the 1928-29 seasons' end. The club has played to sold out crowds and has attracted many football fans with their enthusiasm.
For five seasons, Udinese stayed in Serie A almost declaring a historic Scudetto in the 54 - 55 season when the team stood second behind Milan. In the 96 - 97 season, the Udinese qualified for the UEFA Cup. The Udinese has won several championships including Coppa Italia Serie C: 1, Anglo-Italian Cup: 1, Coppa Italia Primavera: 1, UEFA Intertoto Cup: 1 and Campionato Nazionale Primavera: 1 among others.
