As the match was a draw, playoffs were required to determine which team would make it to the final. Udinese stayed in the Second Division till the 1928-29 seasons' end. For five seasons, Udinese stayed in Serie A almost declaring a historic Scudetto in the 54 - 55 season when the team stood second behind Milan. In the 96 - 97 season, the Udinese qualified for the UEFA Cup.
