Hailing from Massillon, Ohio, Weiskopf has sixteen PGA Tour titles to his credit. Thus marking the 70s as his most successful decade. According to Mark McCormack’s world golf ranking conducted in the 70s Tom Weiskopf was named second best in the world. Rory McIlroy on the other hand is the current champion who also happens to be the World Number one. McIlroy’s professional career began in 2007 but he has had an equally successful career as an amateur too. He claimed the first spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and retained his status for one week. He is part of the European and PGA Tours and represents Europe, Ireland and Great Britain. He was named the second most marketable athlete in the world by SportsPro and has several awards under his belt including Byron Nelson Award, PGA Player of the Year, European Tour Golfer of the Year and Vardon Trophy.
