As the name suggests, Spring Training is held during the spring season, essentially starting from the mid of Feb and continuing all the way up till the first week of April. Presently all the Major League Baseball teams are divided up in to two leagues, Cactus League and Grapefruit league. Cactus league came into existence around 1946 when Cleveland Indians started training in Tucson and Giants were invited to train in Phoenix. As of the moment all the MLB teams either train in Florida or in Arizona, but in earlier times it wasn't like that. Sometimes these games were also held at Dominican Republic, Cuba, Hawaii and Mexico. The team was renamed to Minnesota Twins after when it was moved to the city of Minneapolis in 1960. Soon after the move, success followed in shortly.
