Belonging from Regina, Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are part of the Canadian Football league. They play in the Western Division of the league. The team was formed in the year 1910 and has a rich history. They have played countless football games over the course of their history and have a large fan following. Since the year 1936, the team plays its home games at the Taylor Field at Mosaic Stadium.

From the year 1910 to 1923, the team was called the Regina Rugby Club. They then became the Regina Roughriders the year after that. Finally in the year 1946 their named changed to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Their fans are commonly called the Rider Nation. Twenty players of the team have managed to get inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame. The colors of their team uniform are silver, black, white and green. The helmet of the uniform is green and it has a black and white S written on it.

The team is affectionately known by many nicknames including the Green and White, Roughies, Green Riders and Riders. They have the talented Corey Chamblin as their head coach, under whose supervision, the team has progressed substantially over the last few years. Brendan Taman is their general manager. The mascot of the team is known as Gainer the Gopher.

The team has won countless awards and honors over the course of time including three Grey Cup wins. They have also played host to the Grey Cup the same number of times.
