With this remarkable performance, the Knights truly turned their fortunes around and earned 12^th rank as per the National Associated Press poll. This marked to be the highest rank in the history of the program. Previously, the team only managed to get in the Top 25.

Since 2005, Rutgers Scarlet Knights' fortunes have turned and they have been able to appear in nine Bowl Games.
