The Rainiers had their first taste of major success in 2001, when the team claimed its very first division, conference and subsequently, the Pacific Coast League title. In 2010, they made yet another run towards the championship. The Rainiers met the Memphis Redbirds in the finals and swept the Redbirds to claim the 2010 PCL Championship.
