For the first half of its career Parma had a rather low profile on the domestic ground. It was in the nineties when Castilo Tani happened to the club. The team's game play and the club's reputation changed radically. With an overhauled lineup and fierce competition the team entered every season. It simply outshined others in the domestic league and also took major trophies back home. In these golden years the team brought three Italian Cups and two UEFA Cups under its belt. The team also improved outreach and went on to win a Supercoppa Italiana, a European Super Cup and a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Calisto Tanzi was the man behind these wins. The decade played by the team between 1992 and 2002 under him, became its best spell ever. The club not only finished as the runner up of the league (1996-97) season but took its overall average graph way high. The team's presence was a threat to Italian pro football clubs like Juventus, Internazionale and Milan. All of these clubs had a upper hand on the European grounds, but Parma FC was growing in strength. The club had and powerful game everytime challenging for all of its competitors.
Parma FC started in the July of 1913. For almost six years the team remained very much like a small city club. In this time, the club helped itself establish a name, strong team and game. In 1919, the team was allowed to join league football and this was the year it played its first season. The team's performance in the past seasons led to the construction of Stadio Ennio Tardini, which started in 1922. The club empowered itself with great game and high sporting spirit. The club took its game forward to another level when it became the founding member of the League Serie B. Prior to this, Parma stood as the runner-up in the in the 1928-29 season of the Prima Divisione. Under the Serie B the club played great football for almost three years. In 1931 the team renamed itself for the third time, this time it became Associazione Sportiva Parma. The team was consistently performing at a mediocre level and became active in establishing another League, Serie C. In 1935-36 this League was formed and the team played here until 1943. This was when their graph improved greatly and the team was promoted back up to Serie B.
After WWII the club restarted afresh, it became more organized than before. From 1948 to 1953, the club remained with Serie C and they went to the Serie B to showoff eleven season of achievements and records. In the 1960-1961 season, Parma came to play the Coppa delle Alpi and took down AC Bellinzona in a memorable win. In the sixties the team was relegated to Serie C before a second relegation back to Serie D. For the next two decade the club regularly played thrilling football. The club's academy allowed new talent to rise ahead and lead the team to play the most memorable football in its golden nineties.
