These are teams from the North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina. The North Carolina State Wolfpacks from the North Carolina State University are one of the strongest programs in the state, with eight National Championships to their name, including two in men's basketball. The wrestling team, similarly, is one of the toughest in the nation and has spawned eleven Academic All-Americans and has won fourteen Atlantic Coast Conference Championships. Matt Hill, a golf player, won the 2009 NCAA Championship. The men's soccer team has appeared thirteen times in the National NCAA Tournament, and has made it to the semifinals of the tournament. The team has won one Conference championship and produced seven All-Americans and three members of the US National Team. The Seahawks are members of the Colonial Athletic Association and they field nineteen varsity teams.. Their baseball team has won bids to play at the NCAA regionals twice in 2004 and 2006, and the team participated in the NCAA Tournament in 2003 and 2008. They hold the record for four consecutive seasons with forty wins in the conference, including a twenty one game winning streak. The team has won two National Championships and eighty two of their players have gone  on to play pro baseball in leagues such as Major League Baseball.
