For fans of baseball nothing beats the thrill of supporting their team and it's no different for the supporters of the Los Angeles Anaheim Angels. As soon as the season begins the fan of this historic team will rush to buy the Los Angeles Anaheim Angels tickets for a season full of highs and lows.
The Los Angeles Anaheim Angels take their names from the city they belonged to, Los Angeles. They play in the Western Division of the Major League Baseball (MLB). The team started its operations in 1892 and they played their home games at the Wrigley Field.
Gene Autry bought the team in the early 1960's and named it the Los Angeles Angels with the team making its debut during the 1961 season. They ended their first season with a .435 winning percentage that remains to this day the highest winning percentage by any team over the course of baseball history. They moved to the Dodgers Stadium in 1962 and finished third in the American League. They moved to the city of Anaheim in 1966 and construction began on their new stadium called the Anaheim Stadium. The franchise was named the California Angels in 1965 and started to play at their new stadium the very next year. Their games at their new stadium were attended by almost one and a half million fans in its first year and Alex Johnson became the first Angels player to win the batting title of the American League.
During the 1970's the team went through a lot of mixed times but even during that period Nolan Ryan their fireball pitcher managed to toss four no-hitters out of a total of seven. In 1979 the team won their first ever Western Division tile. The team almost went to the finals of the World Series in 1982 postseason. They came really close to qualifying again for the World Series in 1986 but failed to do so. Much of the late 1980's and early 1990's were unsuccessful years for the team and they were taken over by the Disney Company in 1996 and changed its name to the Anaheim Angels. The fans who had been deprived of notable success were elated when the Los Angeles Anaheim Angels won their first ever World Series title in 2002.
Disney sold the team to a consortium being led by Arturo Moreno in 2003 and two years late the name of the team was officially changed to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim commonly known as Los Angeles Anaheim Angels. The team won division titles but was unable to repeat its World Series triumph.
The Los Angeles Anaheim has been through a lot of ups and downs and still has kept on fighting. The fans are not Glory Hunters and these very amazing supports will buy this season's Los Angeles Anaheim Angels Tickets as well and go to support their team with fire in their bellies every step of the way like true supporters.
