Football is the biggest sport in the country and has been for a very long time. Millions of fans watch football games each year and the sport's popularity just keeps on increasing with every year that goes by. In the eighties, a new form of football was introduced and that is when the Arena Football League was formed.
The Arena Football League was a new concept when Jim Foster first presented the idea to people. However, within just a few years, it gained momentum until hundreds and thousands of people started following the sport. Today, the league features twelve teams that have been split in to two conferences. The American Conference is divided in to the South and East divisions, the former consisting of four teams and the latter with two. The National Conference is divided in to the Pacific and West divisions, with each consisting of three teams each.
In 2014, the league added another franchise to their list. After a very long wait, Las Vegas finally had an AFL side. The team was named the Outlaws, as the residents of the Sin City got ready to enjoy the excitement of the AFL once again. The new season is now here and you can watch your favorite team play as well. Book your Las Vegas Outlaws tickets and watch this amazing side take to the field against some quality opposition.
The Las Vegas Outlaws were started by the famous musician Vincent Neil Wharton. Vince was a member of the popular heavy metal band Motley Crue and a longtime fan of the AFL. He showed an interest in owing his own franchise quite a few years ago and it took some time before his dream came to fruition.
In 2014 the Outlaws announced that Aaron Garcia would be their new head coach. Garcia is among the greatest AFL players in history and the former quarterback holds several passing and scoring records in the league. Under his tutelage, the new franchise is expected to grow and challenge for all the top honors for years to come.
The team will use the Thomas & Mack Center as their home. It has a large capacity which will come in handy to handle the extra load of fans that are expected to come in and support the Outlaws. Since its formation in 1983, the arena has featured NBA basketball games, conventions, boxing fights and numerous live shows performed by some of the greatest names in the entertainment industry.
The Las Vegas Outlaws are coming to one of the most colorful cities in the U.S and there is a lot of potential for them to garner a wide fan base. They will be looking to make an instant impact in the AFL and that will only increase the profile of the league.
