'King of the Cage' is a competitive event which is about punches, kicks, elbows, knees, big knockouts, technical submissions, take-downs, and strategy.

The evolution of combat, ?King of the Cage' or KOTC is a Mixed Martial Arts organization based in the United States. The organization was created in 1998 by Tedd Williams and Terry Trebilcock. This competitive event pits warrior against warrior in hand-to-hand battles of skill, honor and art.

Over the past couple of years Tedd and Terry have branched out the KOTC name to other promoters. Known to host events almost exclusively at Indian gaming casinos, KOTC is the parent promoter of Gladiator Challenge and.

The event is considered as a minor circuit which features up coming Mixed Martial Arts -MMA stars and veterans. Most of the KOTC shows are now being held in the midwest, Canada, and Australia.

Featuring only professional, elite fighters from around the world, some notable KOTC competitors are UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton ?Rampage' Jackson, Diego Sanchez, Paul Buentello, Joe Stevenson, Keith Jardine, The Ultimate Fighter 2 Heavyweight Winner Rashad Evans, and The Ultimate Fighter 6 winner Mac Danzig. From Muay Thai to boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to wrestling, all styles are encouraged.

Terry Trebilcock & Ted Williams have played a significant role in the promotions for full contact sports. ?King of the Cage', through dozens of shows nationwide, continues to strive to take the sport to the mainstream.

The sport's credibility further strengthened with the sanctioning of mixed martial arts by states such as Nevada. There are rules to protect the competitors and the sport is as safe as many of the major league American sports.

Terry, a key promoter of KOTC, graduated from Claremont High School in Southern California, and enrolled in Cal. State Fullerton taking business classes. Despite being involved in different businesses, but there was one particular business that caught his eye about 10 years ago.

King of the Cage was primarily started due to Terry's vision after watching other mixed martial arts events on TV. At present, he is the owner of an entertainment-sporting event called King of the Cage (KOTC).

To get an understanding of what exactly was taking place inside the ring, Terry enrolled himself in a few different martial arts schools. He also purchased an instructional series by a MMA legend named Royce Gracie.

As he began to pick up on the different techniques and styles being used to defeat opponents, Terry started teaching at a Health Club called Cardio Fit in the Inland Empire.

He met Ted in his class. Remembering his meeting with Ted, Terry says ?an unknown man walked into my class one day, and without warning began throwing not only himself but also the rest of the class around the mat room. That person is named Ted Williams.' Ted and Terry formed a friendship which continued into an entrepreneur partnership now known as King of the Cage.

A mixture of several different martial arts, pitting one person's martial arts style versus another, KOTC is a full contact sport, which is making its way to the mainstream public, and most importantly into our living rooms everyday. King of the Cage is like no other sport you've ever seen.
