Details of Kean and the Ticket Luck value
Kean, the British pop rockers are coming to give their audiences a time to remember. Kean tickets are now available for fans who love the unique, pure piano alternative rock style that makes the band stand apart.
The band has often been compared to Coldplay for its music style, but it has managed to make a niche for itself. The influences of Indie sound and British pop are evident in Keane's music. The main feature however, for which the band is recognized is the use of piano as the base instruments. The piano driven vocals powered with depth and emotion, give the band the unique edge. It is this feature which makes them distinct from other rock bands that mostly rely on guitars.
Keane brings great musical variation for its listeners. From melancholic songs to energetic tunes, from dark, deep songs to soaring melodies and ballad choruses, their music offers a varied range of emotional rock. The use of various synthesizers is also part of their music. Their power ballads like "On a Day Like Today" and "We Might As Well Be Strangers" have been also been well received by fans.
The band from Battle, East Sussex came together in 1997. Tim Rice-Oxley formed the band by the name of Lotus Eaters that had Dominic Scott and Richard Hughes. When Tom Chaplin joined the band as the lead vocalist, the band changed its name to Keane.
The initial few years were a struggling phase for Keane. They toured the London pub circuit and in 1999 came up with their first promotional single "Call Me What You Like". After the song, their second single was "Wolf at the Door". However, at this time nothing worked out for them and their guitarist left the group. It was at this point that Keane chose to work with piano as the leading instrument and the decision changed their luck.
In BBC'S Sound of 2004 poll, Keane was named as the band most likely to achieve success in the coming year. Soon after, Kean's "Somewhere Only We Know" was on number three on the UK Singles Chart. It was their first release under the label Universal Island.
The English pop rockers made it big in 2004, with their debut album, Hopes and Fears.
The debut album won them multiple awards. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was also the second best-selling British Album of the Year 2004. The piano led tracks proved to be a welcome change.
During its music career, this English alternative rock band experimented with its music style. Following the first album's success, came another hit album. The second album Under the Iron Sea was not only a hit in the UK but also achieved high sales worldwide. It topped the UK Album Charts.
Under The Iron Sea, while retaining the feature Keane was popular for also managed to be more intense. The emotional depth and the heart-touching lyrics reflected the intensity and the mood during which the album was created. In this album, the band explored more sounds rather than relying on piano chords alone. The fresh approach was embraced by the fans and critics.
Keane was bold enough to stretch their limits musically and experiment rather than sticking to the success formula that worked for them. The third album Perfect Symmetry was different from their regular style yet it captured the musical brilliance that the band showed potential of. The band's fourth album Strangeland released in 2012 however seemed to reflect the old style.
The current members of the band are Tim Rice-Oxley, Richard Hughes, Jesse Quin and Tom Chaplin.
Keane has to its credit to have won two awards at the 2005 BRIT Awards for the Best British Album for Hopes and Fears and the British Breakthrough Act award. Rice-Oxley won Ivor Novello award for Songwriter of the Year.
