The Independence Bowl is a college football game that is played every year at the "Independence Stadium" at Shreveport in Louisiana. But the most talked about game was played in 2006 when the Independence Bowl took on a brand new sponsor, "PetroSun". It was the matchup between "Alabama Crimson Tide" and "Oklahoma State Cowboys", with the Cowboys winning with a close 34-31 score.
