The boys having the necessary exposure and having an abundance of talent quickly started making waves in the industry. Soon they were noticed by Jive Records who signed the band for their debut album Lovesick Electric. Hot Chelle Rae received help by recording producers Eric Valentine and Butch Walker for their first music venture. Lovesick Electric got the band noticed and the single 'Bleed' from the album charted the Billboard Pop songs. They followed it with their second album Whatever which they released signed with RCA Records. The album took the band to stardom. The single Tonight Tonight not only went on to be a mega hit but also brought them international fame.

The band has released several other hit songs. These include 'I Like It Like That.' The popular dance competition So You Think You Can Dance featured the song in one of their shows. Hot Chelle Rae has also done a version of the famous Bobby Helms festive song 'Jingle Bell Rock.'

Early in their career the band preformed as the opening act for Lil John. Since then they have gone on tour with established acts like Taylor Swift, 5 Seconds of Summer, Cher Lylod, Titanium, Demi Lovato and many more. Hot Chelle Rae has also made appearance as musical guests on the festive special Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Other small screen appearances by the band include The Today Show and Early Show.

Becoming stars in the music field, the band has performed at mega events. These include the taking to the stage for the Hall of Game Awards show. Hot Chelle Rae has also performed at the pregame ceremonies at the NFL's all-star game at the 2012 Pro Bowl. The event was held at Honolulu, Hawaii and was televised nationally.
