Founded back in 2011, the Green Bay Chill plays as the members of Legends Football League's Western division. Under the leadership of the team's head coach Gilbert Brown, Chill kicked off its inaugural season last year while playing its home games at the Resch Center. The team kicked off its inaugural season with a match up against Minnesota Valkyrie at the Chill's home field of Resch Center. Chill gave Valkyrie a tough time and lost with the finishing record of 25-28. Team's next match up was with Seattle Mist at the Resch Field yet again, just face yet another defeat. The franchise's very first victory came in its third match of the season that the team played against Chicago Bliss at the Toyota Park. The match ended in Chill's favor with the finishing score of 36-34. Green Bay Chill has yet to post a winning season and make a post season appearance.

Green Bay Chill plays in the Legends Football League which was previously known as the Lingerie Football League. This seven on seven women's football league saw its formation back in 2003 with its inaugural season taking place years later in 2009. The games in the league take place during the fall or the winter season at the various NHL, NFL, MLS, and NBA stadiums and arenas. Currently the league comprises of twenty teams in total, twelve of which are based in United States, four in Australia and four in Canada.

The inaugural season of the Legends Football League comprised of ten teams in total and the season started off on September 4, 2009 and lasted till January 29, 2010. Each of the team in the league played one game against the every other team in the league. By the end of the 2009-10 season, Los Angeles Temptation came out victorious after defeating Chicago Bliss.

In the following season, two more franchises were added to the league, Baltimore Charm and Orlando Fantasy. In 2011, the Lingerie Bowl was played during the halftime of Super Bowl XLV in which Philadelphia Passion was defeated by Los Angeles Temptation.

Before the 2011-2012 season, five new teams including the Green Bay Chill, were added to the league and by the end of the season Los Angeles Temptation claimed its third straight LFL championship.
