In addition to that, OC Fair will also have a bucket full of surprises for the concert-goers with its Toyota Summer Concert Series at Pacific Amphitheatre. This year, the 8,500-seat outdoor concert arena will welcome the likes of Bad Religion, Karmin, The Offspring, X, The Lions, Ziggy Marley, the Go-Go's, Jeff Foxworthy, Lifehouse and the comic genius Jeff Dunham among others. The attendees of the fair can also get to listen to their favorite tribute bands at the Hangar. This year's lineup of tribute bands will be performing the music of the greats like Led Zeppelin, Journey, Van Halen, Jim Morrison, U2, Elton John, the Beatles, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson and several others.
The history of the OC Fair goes all the way back to 1890 when it was hosted for the very first time in Santa Ana. The earlier editions of the festival mainly comprised of horse races and livestock shows. Later in 1900s, however, various other attractions and activities were added to the mix. Ever since 1949, the fair has been taking place at the fairgrounds measuring up to 150 acres. In 1949, OC Fair was turned into a five-day long event but presently it lasts for twenty three days. To date, OC Fair attracts more than a million visitors every year and has gone up to become the ninth biggest festival in the United States. It is undoubtedly one of the biggest festivals in the state of California and with events like Extreme Rodeo and the Concert Series, the 2014 Orange County Fair is expected to draw in visitors from all over the state.
