The Cheyenne Frontier Days Arena located in Cheyenne, Wyoming is becoming host to yet another edition of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. With a capacity that can cater to as much as nineteen thousand audiences, the arena is famous for the western rodeo celebration that is held on an annual basis. Residents of the area are advised to grab Cheyenne Frontier tickets as soon as possible, as they are up for sale now.
Established in 1897, the Cheyenne Frontier Days is a popular one of a kind outdoor rodeo event known to attract over two hundred thousand people on an annual basis. Usually held during the peak tourist season in Cheyenne, the festivity is known to fill in lodging throughout eastern and southern Wyoming as well as Nebraska and Colorado. Each year one of the world's largest rodeo events attracts amateurs and professionals who are known to compete for over one million dollars in cash prizes and gift hampers. The Cheyenne Frontier Days event follows an old west small town theme called the "Wild Horse Gulch". This town brings forth many exciting competitions and events some of which include square dancing, art show, chuck wagon cook-off, air show, bull riding competitions and shows, parades with antique automobiles and carriages and concerts presented by some of the top artists.
Each year before the Cheyenne Frontier Days showcase kicks off, the city hosts an annual walk of the steers on the Sunday that comes before the event's inauguration. This tradition has been based on Spain's "Running of the bulls". Previous season's walk brought forth over four hundred and forty four steers that were walked over a course of three miles. The course usually spreads from the Hynds Boulevard to a pathway that leads into the Frontier Park. With the end of this walk, the official initiation of the Cheyenne Frontier Days event is marked.
Apart from the above mentioned activities, the showcase also brings forth comedic acts, Wild West shows, food stalls and vendors, a carnival with rides and games for children of all ages, an Indian village and the internationally renowned PBR/PRCA sanctioned rodeo. The Cheyenne Frontier Days is often called as being "the Daddy of 'em All" due to the fact that the rodeo is one of the oldest and largest rodeos in the world.
The celebration also presents free pancake breakfasts that are sponsored by Kiwanis Chapter. Almost forty thousand people are served pancakes each year and almost one hundred thousand pancakes are served. If all of this wasn't enough the air show that is organized and held by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron puts on a memorable display. The display usually takes place over Laramie County Community College's campus. With such exciting events packed into one mega annual festivity, rodeo enthusiasts shouldn't miss out this wholesome family fun. Consider buying Cheyenne Frontier tickets today to join the fun.
