The Cedar Rapids Titans are the first ever franchise from Iowa to play in the Indoor Football League. The IFL started in 2008 and the Titans were added to the league as an expansion team in 2011. 2012 was their first season in the league and so far they have impressed with their performances. The Titans ended their first season in 2012 with a 9-5 win ratio. With this impressive feat, they made it into the playoffs but lost their chance at the title. The 2013 season was even better for them where they made the playoffs once again but couldn't convert that into a championship. The current season has seen the team take on a new energy where they seem destined for greatness. The fan's eyes are all on the new team line-up and coaching staff to finally deliver a championship in the team's early years.

The Titans play their home games at the US Cellular Center in the downtown area of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This multi-purpose arena cost $8 million to build and was first opened to the public in 1979. Since then, the 8,500 capacity arena has hosted a number of notable events and sports matches. In addition to holding NBA games, the arena has hosted a number of WCW (World Championship Wrestling) events in addition to concerts by musicians such as 'Yes' and 'Lady Antebellum'. Ever since the arena was renovated in 2011, it has also hosted National Volleyball Association championship matches.
