Student-athletes are assigned a scholarly counselor to assist them enroll for classes and follow up on their progress towards graduation. The advisor is the main contact person for student-athletes, who have concerns about their academic or eligibility.
The advisor is also responsible for student-athletes making connections with other campus resources such as the Counseling and Career Center, Multicultural Student Services, University Accessibility Center, and College Advertisement Centers.

The main aim of the BYU program is to keep the athletes healthy by reducing their susceptibility to injury, and with the BYU strength and conditioning staff has experienced excellent results through its computer-analyzed combination of a strict weight and conditioning program a carefully planned diet and sufficient rest.
BYU strength and conditioning center has nearly 10,000 feet of working space and ranks among the nation's best. BYU features 106 stations to accommodate both male and female athletes.
