Buick Open is a golf tournament held since 1958 as a part of PGA Tour. It's a stroke play format played by many top golf pros to enhance their skills for major gold tournaments. Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club located in Flint Michigan was the home to Buick Open for many decades. The Tournament attracts prominent names of golf to polish their skills. The Tournament has been a game of long hitters including prominent names as Tiger Woods, Kenny Perry, Vijay Singh and Brian Bateman.
Robert Wrenn maintains the top tournament score record in 1987 with aggregate of 262 and To-Par of -26. Tiger Woods enjoys the status of final champion of the tournament by winning the final staging of Buick Open. In August 2009, Tiger Woods won by shooting 69 to finish 20 under at Grand Blanc Township. Woods defeated Roland Thatcher (64), Greg Chalmers (68) and John Senden (70) by three strokes. Kenny Perry was the defending champion this year by bagging 2008 title and he also set a record by being the oldest winner in the history of Buick Open. Tiger Woods has the history of being the three time champion of this tournament. His first triumph was in 2002 followed by another victory in 2006 and finally in 2009.

In Professional Golf the 17th hole, a par 3 of the Warwick Golf Course is considered to be one of the rowdiest galleries. The 17th hole is also famous for being one of the largest outdoor cocktail parties. The addition of LaCrosse landing area at 17th hole has increased the excitement of this place. Buick Open was one the regular tournament of PGA Tour and was one of the official money events. The purse of Buick Open 2009 was $5.1million with the winning prize of $918,000. The PGA Tour continued for 45 weeks and 48 Events including major, regular and WGC tournaments.

In 2010 PGA Tour is going to replace Buick Open tournament with Greenbrier Classic. The Greenbrier Classic will be held at the Greenbrier in the White Sulphur Springs of West Virginia.
