However, one of their most famous games had to be cancelled in the wake of one of the most devastating attacks in the history of the US. The Cyclones shared the championship with the Crosscutters. It would take two years to find themselves in a spot to life a division title again in 2003.
The 2004 season of minor league baseball is by far one of the most controversial seasons since 1968. Which the team was leading, since the score was washed away, the Cyclones were told to start all over and try beating their rivals, the Tri-City Valley Cats. The rules of the game were changed after Cyclones lost. The following years were better for the Cyclones and they continued to win accolades season after season. They missed some play offs but remained amongst the top five teams in the minor league. The team has lived up to its name as true cyclones, where on a number of occasions they found themselves at the bottom of the league but miraculously came back to win spots in playoffs.
