Saturday's fun starts in the evening with the Hall of Fame Awards Presentation in the evening. The J.G. Taylor Spink Award is presented to the writers who have had a long and brilliant association with the sport. They are not made official members of the Hall of Fame but get a permanent place in the National Baseball Museum as an exhibit. In the same event the Ford C. Frick Award is also handed over to the broadcasters with an excellent track record when it comes to broadcasting baseball. The recipients do not get a permanent place in the Hall of Fame but just like the writers they are also paid homage in the form of a permanent exhibit at the museum. The Parade of Legends follows the Awards Presentation at where the legends ride in vehicles provide by Ford as they make their way to a reception held in their honor at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
Sunday is the day when the Baseball Hall of Fame weekend reaches its climax with the main induction ceremony. The newest members to join the prestigious club are honored and inducted into the Hall of Fame at a lavish ceremony held at the Clark Sports Center which itself is a stunning amphitheater. The inductees are given permanent plaques that the public can view at the museum. With this, the two-day extravaganza comes to its conclusion with much fanfare.
