The Austin Peay Governors is the athletics program of the Austin Peay State University, located in Clarksville, Tennessee. They have also appeared in not one but two National Invitation Tournaments, with a winning result during their first appearance in 2004 against the Belmont Bruins of the Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
