Action Sports World Tour
The extreme sportsmen do have a platform not only to display their talents but also to challenge each other in the coveted Action Sports World Tour. The LG Action Sports World Tour started in 2003, inviting the world's top professional athletes to battle it out for valuable prize money including over $100,000 in cash and other prizes.
This is the total professional action sports competition which features skateboarding, inline skating, free skiing, BMX and freestyle motocross. This year it is scheduled to be held on 23-24 September in San Diego. The Tour top slots move to participate in the LG Action Sports World Championships following this tour in October. The event in San Diego is the USA Championships for the only global competition circuit in action sports that makes tour stops in seven countries before the LG World Championships in Dallas.
The San Diego International Sports Council is ready for the world's largest action sports event expecting a large number of decorated athletes in extreme sports to display their original and courageous in-flight talents to San Diego and complete world. More than 50 world-class skateboarders, BMX riders and aggressive inline skaters will take on the vert ramp in competition valuable ranking points towards qualifying into the LG Action Sports World Championships besides big prize money.
Widely viewed and loved, the matches will be broadcasted all over America, on CBS and OLN. The latest results will be available at www.LGactionsports.com and www.actionsportstour.com. ? BMX
o Street. Competitors are given 65 seconds for the display of their talents in the best possible way on a park course made up of transitioned and banked ramps, jumps and many other simulated street obstacles. Points are given on the basis of on amplitude of jumps, use of the course, consistency, balance and complexity of tricks.
o Vert. In 60 seconds competitors have to display of their talents in the best possible way on a vertical half-pipe. Points are given on the basis of amplitude of jumps, use of the ramp, consistency, balance and difficulty of actions.? Inline
o Street. Competitors are given 65 seconds for the display of their talents in the best possible way on a park course made up of transitioned and banked ramps, jumps and many other virtual street obstacles. Points are given on the basis of style, use of the course, consistency, balance and complexity of tricks.
o Vert. Riders have 60 seconds to put up their best possible run on a vertical half-pipe. Points are given on style, use of the ramp, consistency and difficulty of actions. ? Skateboard o Street. Competitors have 65 seconds to put up the best possible show on a park course comprising transitioned and banked ramps, jumps and other replicated street obstacles. Competitors are judged on their style, use of the course, consistency and difficulty of tricks.
o Vert. Riders have 60 seconds to present their best run on a vertical half-pipe. Runs are judged on style, use of the ramp, consistency and intricacy of tricks. ? Freestyle Motocross. FMX played on dirt and metal course with mixed takeoff ramps and dirt landings. Riders are judged on the perfection and balanced implementation of actions.
? Free ski o Slope style. The park-style course combines big jumps with handrails and ledges, allowing riders to display their mastery on technical skills as well as talent to get air. o Vert. Starting from the top of a half pipe that has been engraved into the snow, riders are graded on flow, height and complexity of tricks.
