Sparks Tickets

Throughout its existence, the Sparks is considered to be a group that is known for being very unorthodox in all of its endeavors as a band, and that has also been the main reason why it has always stood out among the others. One of the vital elements of the Sparks' music is its very intelligently crafted lyrics that are often harsh in nature, but all that in a positive way. The group's live performances might be considered peculiar by many, but that has been playing in band's favor as well in terms of setting it apart from the rest of bands of its time. The Sparks tickets aren't only for a traditional live concert by the band; they are for a live performance containing numerous theatrical elements as well.  

With five years in the making, the group finally saw its creation in 1971 when it was initially named with a highly unusual band name of Halfnelson. Under the same moniker, the group came up with its self-titled debut album, which only managed to yield a moderately popular local hit. Since the album didn't manage to fetch many sales, the group's record label decided that it was about time that the group came up with yet another moniker to promote its music, and that is how the name Sparks came into the play.

This time working with the Electric Prunes' James Lowe, the group followed up its debut album with the release of A Woofer in Tweeters Clothing. Once again, witty word play did not translate into something commercially rewarding, hence the Sparks found itself hitting a dead-end. But soon the founding members of the band, the Mael Brothers, ended up in United Kingdom where they grouped up with a couple of local musicians and started working on yet another record in 1974. On that album, the group worked with the producer Muff Winwood; a move that played well in the group's favor. Titled Kimono My House, the album soon turned Sparks into a household name within U.K and only after a couple of months, the group was rocking the listeners in the continent with its tunes like This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us. Kimono My House was followed by Propaganda, which placed Sparks back in the charts once more. In all of its senses, the group finally found itself hitting the right notes for its kind of listeners.

The release of Hello Young Lovers in 2006 marked the twentieth studio album release for the group, which was then followed by an elaborated live concert tour by the group in support of its 21^st studio release. For the release, the group attracted the media attention from around the globe as it embarked on a tour on which it performed all twenty of its previous albums, one night each. Selling astounding amount of The Sparks tickets, the tour turned out to be massively successful. The group performed the entire Exotic Creatures of the Deep on the twenty first night of the tour to a venue packed to its full capacity.

With an urge to do something new and unique always, the group came up with The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman in 2009, which was commissioned by the national radio station of Sweden called Sveriges. The album basically was an original radio musical that was closely based upon the life of globally renowned movie director Ingmar Bergman. The English language version of the musical saw its premiere in November 2009 on the BBC 6 Music in Britain. Matching the expectations of the most, the critical acclaim that the musical received was nothing short than amazing.

In 2013, the group released its first ever live recording after the group embarked on its Two Hands One Mouth Tour which was the first live tour by the band featuring the Mael Brothers on the lineup. The group's aim to inspire and to do something different each time has earned Sparks global respect and recognition in all forms; something that the group will carry for years to come.
