Details of Young The Giant and the Ticket Luck value
The world of rock of music is composed of an entire hierarchy that is ruled over by titans such as U2, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Green Day, Roger Waters and David Gilmour. However, there is one fledgling group of rockers that is slowly rearing its head and attempting to ascend to the upper echelons of rock and rub shoulders with the giants. Young the Giant might have put out only one record as of now, but their ambitious moniker coupled with their bristling energy is a sure shot booster towards towering success. The band has already started blazing a trail with "Every Little Thing" that they are doing on the US charts by having broken into the top-ten slot. However, their live performances are anything but little and so get some Young the Gianttickets now to see them stomp up some wicked vibes.
Young the Giant started to stir in 2004 whilst its constituent elements were still struggling with the ups and downs of high school. However soon after finding their groove, they put their schooling on the backburner and instead focused on getting their nascent giant lumbering towards a full-fledged musical career. Initially identifying themselves as The Jakes, the motley crew of high schoolers soon merged their youthfulness and their "gigantic" ambitions and emerged as Young the Giant. After several changes in their line-up, the current one materialized with Sameer Gadhia leading on the vocals and percussion, with Eric Cannata and François Comtois backing him three years later up whilst also manning the guitar and drums/percussion respectively. And after finding its footing in 2008 with bassist Payam Doostzadeh and releasing an EP "Shake My Hand" the following year, the giant in The Jakes finally came into his own right in 2010.
Singing onto Roadrunner Records, Young the Giant brought forth their self-titled debut album as a digital release in late 2010 and then thumped it down as a physical record in January the following year. Due to a leak, tracks such as "My Body," "Strings" and "I Got" had already seen the light of day before their respective album's release. However, the early publicity proved to work in the band's favor and their eponymous album was hailed by Amazon.com as being 2010's third best album in the rock genre. With Young the Giant breaking into the top fifty on Billboard 200 and peaking at the second spot on the US Heat seekers Albums charts, singles such as "My Body" asserted their own might by climbing to the 5th spot on the US Alternative songs charts as well as being featured on American Idol, with "Cough Syrup" coughing up a peak ranking of number three.
Though commencing active touring in 2010, spending time on the road with the likes of Minus the Bear and Steel Train and opening for Kings of Leon, Young the Giant kicked their touring regimen into high gear the following year, making guest performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Young the Giant asserted its dominance at the Billboard Showcase at the South by Southwest and made its monstrous presence felt at the Sasquatch! Music Festival as well as The Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
Evoking the nuances of West Coast Jazz, the sound of Young the Giant defies to be contained within a specific genre and roams freely across the indie landscape, at times cutting incisively and at other times making the listener drift into a reverie. Young the Giant's ethnicity, deriving origins from Indian, French-Canadian, British and Persian backgrounds, lends the act its eclectic flavor. The April of 2011 saw the musical goliath Young the Giant be named as MTV's Push Artist of the Week.
