Established back in 2007, TGT performs music from the genre of R&B. It consists of three R&B singers who have been able to make a name for themselves as soloists. Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank have also been close friends for more than a decade and this is what makes the TGT so unique. Previously TGT had to face several difficulties in terms of recording songs together, as all three singers were signed with different record labels. However as of 2012, group member Tyrese Gibson revealed to the public via his twitter account that TGT has signed a contract with Atlantic Records. To date the singers have released four singles that have made it big in the music industry. These include the TGT remix of Tank's song "Please Don't Go" which was released on the artist's album named "Sex, Love & Pain". It was also placed amongst the top 50 songs on the US Billboard 100 Chart.

Other single releases that have been brought forth by the trio include "Can't Blame You" of 2009, "Lay down My Life" in 2010 and their most recent single "Sex Never Felt Better" of 2013. As soloists, all three singers have created a name for themselves in the world of R&B. Born in 1978; Tyrese Darnell Gibson is an American actor, singer, producer and MTV VJ. The artist initiated his career back in 1994, when he was able to sign a deal with RCA Records, after he achieved success as a fashion model. It was his appearance in a Coca-Cola advertisement where he sang a phrase "Always Coca-Cola" that the singer was approached by the record label.

Releasing his debut single named "Nobody Else"  that was able to make its way to the thirty six spot on the US Billboard 100 Chart, Gibson started working on his debut album. The self-titled release came forth in 1998, reaching platinum sales and winning the artist a Grammy from the category of "Best R&B Male Vocal Performance".

To date Gibson has released five studio albums with his sixth album "Black Rose" expected to come out in 2014.
