The Soft Parade - A Tribute to Doors is a band known as one of the first Doors' tribute acts, recreating in essence the original's concert atmosphere. American rock band, The Doors were formed in Los Angeles, in 1965, with an original lineup comprising of keyboardist Ray Manzarek, vocalist Jim Morrison, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore. They released several top ten albums, including Strange Days (1967), Absolutely Alive (1970), Morrison Hotel (1970), LA Woman (1971) and The Soft Parade (1969). The Soft Parade - A Tribute to Doors was formed by Russo in 1990, with the goal of reviving the poetical and theatrical atmosphere of a typical Doors' concert. Russo has succeeded at doing so by reliving and re-performing the legendary shows that Jim Morrison once presented with his band, more than three decades ago. The act has gained recognition as an authentic Doors' tribute show, featuring vintage sound equipment and instruments, and the same hairstyles and clothing.

The Soft Parade - A Tribute to Doors are the only tribute show to have been invited at the Woodstock 25th Anniversary Festival and the Bonnaroo Festival (2003). At the original site of the 1969 Woodstock concert, the tribute band joined the likes of Country Joe MacDonald, Mountain, and Canned Heat. After the well-known Richie Havens, the stage was taken by the Soft Parade, who simply 'stole the show', as noted by Eddie Brigati, former member of Young Rascals.
