Details of The Rascals and the Ticket Luck value
America's classic blue eyed soul band, the Rascals is out on the road to present their first live concert together once again after forty years. The touring event called 'The Rascals: Once upon a Dream' is a blend of Broadway and rock n roll music performances. It features original band members like Felix Cavaliere, Eddie Brigati, Dino Danelli and Gene Cornish. You can now get the Rascals tickets and avail the lifetime opportunity to be part of the unique theatrical concert experience.
The New Jersey based band emerged in an era when the music charts were dominated by the rock acts of the English. Nevertheless with their first single's release on the TV show 'Hullabaloo', 'The Young Rascals' (as they were initially called) made their presence felt strongly in the industry. The single called 'I ain't gonna eat out my heart anymore' within a matter of days climbed up the music countdowns in both US as well as Canada.
Next came the R&B cover song of the Olympics (an LA based band) called 'Good Willin'. The number was a chart topping crossover hit with which the career of Rascals began to flourish at a fast pace. The follow up string of singles including 'You better run' and 'Come on up' followed the R&B pattern set by their previous hit ('Good Willin').
With further exposure and experimentation, the music sensibilities of the group, songwriters in particular, also began to mature. Compositions with deep introspective and thought provoking lyrics like those of 'Beautiful Morning' ,'Groovin', 'It's Wonderful' and 'How Can I Be Sure' are testament of the band's increasing understanding of instrument arrangements and music production.
In 1968, the Rascals compiled their mega hit song collection and released it under the title 'Time Peace: The Rascals' Greatest Hits'. The record went on to become a top seller and within the same year they treated their audience with another weighty album 'People got to be free'. Just as the name suggests the songs of the record were a call to shun racial discrimination and spread tolerance in the wake of the recently occurred assassinations (1968) of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
Over the next few years, the band adopted a jazz and gospel influenced style of music thus producing records like 'Peaceful world' and 'The island of Real'. The songs of these collections received modest success on the music charts. Following various changes and replacements in the band line up, the Rascals eventually disbanded during early 70s.
Their first official reunion was marked in May of 1997 when they were inducted into the prominent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Steven Van Zandt. The second time they gathered together was at Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Grill where they performed a tribute act called 'A Night to remember' in order to raise money for the charity cause of Kristen Ann Carr Fund.
Famed producer/director Steven Van Zandt has once again managed to bring the legendary band mates together. The ongoing 'The Rascals: Once upon a dream' is the first combined full-fledged touring concert presented by the original lineup. Apart from the cherished all time hits of the band, the event also showcases their musical journey step by step through an interesting display of video footages and dramatic reenactments. The innovative stage décor and light effects for the show are created by the expertise of Marc Brickman, the man responsible for producing smashing fireworks and special effects for concerts of Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney and many other popular stars.
More than a comeback venture, 'The Rascals: Once upon a Dream' serves as a celebration of some of the most unique, famous and entertaining music numbers of the yesteryears. So get your Rascal tickets and refresh your memories of the classic pop rock, R&B and soul hits.
