Details of The Bodeans and the Ticket Luck value
Wisconsin-based rock band, BoDeans formed in 1983 has long been famous for being one of the most energetic live acts in the industry. The six member band gained prominence with their hit debut offering Love & Sex & Hope & Dreams and has since been touring the world over, delivering electrifying performances to fans that are strongly connected to their material. In Summer 2013, they returned with Kenny Aronoff, who had been playing with them both in studio and live in concert, on and off since the eighties. Many of their greatest hits have featured Aronoff alongside their longtime members Sam Hawksley on vocals and acoustic guitar, Stefano Intelisano on accordion and keyboard, David Duffy on mandolin and fiddle, and bassist Ryan Bowman.
In their initial years, the band was mainly influenced by heartland rock and roots rock, but soon moved closer into the alternative rock genre. By the late eighties and nineties, many of their singles were spotted among the top forties on 'mainstream rock' charts. By the mid nineties, they produced a couple of top ten tracks on Adult Contemporary charts. In the recent past, they have once again returned to the roots rock genre that they began with, alongside taking on new directions of soul and country. BoDeans tickets have again claimed massive attention of the root rocks fans, like never before.
Sam Llanas and Kurt Neuman began performing on the East Side music scene in Milwaukee under the title of 'Da BoDeans' in 1983. There are many different stories about where they got this name, but Sam has often upheld that he took the name from the Beverly Hillbillies loved character of Jethro Bodine. The band recorded their first track Sally in 1985 on Milwaukee's bands independent compilation.
Soon after, they signed a record deal with Warner/Slash Records, shortening their name to BoDeans. They then entered the Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood with producer T-Bone Burnett to make their debut album. Its title Love & Sex & Hopes & Dreams was taken from the lyrics of Rolling Stones famous song Shattered. This offering was released in 1986 and gained significant praise for its sincerity and passion, throwing the band in the spotlight. By the following year, the act was voted the Best New American Band by a reader poll in Rolling Stone publication.
To date, BoDeans have released eleven studio albums including Indigo Dreams, American Made, Mr. Sad Clown, Still, Resolution, Blend, Go Slow Down, Black and White, Home, Outside looking In, and their debut album Love & Sex & Hope & Dreams. With the exception of the former two, all their offerings made it to the Billboard 200 charts with Outside Looking In reaching the top most position of number eight-six. Their twelfth album is due anytime in the next few months while they take it to the road with Kurt and Kenny.
The band has five live/ compilation albums including Joe Dirt Car, The leftovers, Slash and Burn, Homebrewed: Live from Pabst and their most recent Amped across America, which was released in 2012. The latter is a double live album, which was recorded at various venues while the band was on its American Made tour. Though they have released many singles over the years, their most popular ones including Fadeaway, Only Love, You Don't Get Much, Dreams, Feed the Fire, Hurt By Love, Closer to Free, and White, Black and Blood Red, several among which have been spotted on US Adult, Rock, Modern and Hot 100 charts.
Their reputation for giving dynamic concerts brought them support slots with the likes of Paul Simon, U2, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Pretenders, and George Thorogood, as well as appearances at such high profile events as ACL, Summerfest, Farm Aid, and the inaugural 2014 Liquid Sol Music Festival among many more. They are all geared up to rock the stage with new-flavored music combined with their original roots rock melodies, so make sure to grab your share of BoDeans tickets.
