And from the looks of it, the festival is going to go on for many years to come. The new partnership between Live Nation and city of Plano spawned the first-year festival called Suburbia Music Festival. Live Nation is ranked among the biggest production and promotion companies in the world. The two entities signed a contract worth six hundred and twenty five thousand dollars last year in August. As per the Plano Star Courier, the vision behind the agreement is to take the Suburbia Festival to the level of 'Austin City Limits' of North Texas in terms of size and popularity. According to Amy Fortenberry, the Plano Parks & Recreation Director, Suburbia Music Festival will inhabit a three-stage-setup on the sixty acres of Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. A legion of about forty thousand fans is expected to flood the Oak Point Amphitheater this summer.
Keeping in view that people these days tend to live their lives like an iPod on shuffle, the lineup for the festival was booked accordingly. With a five hundred thousand dollar funding from the city of Plano, Live Nation booked the bands. The line-up includes indie magnets 'The Dandy Warhols', 'Hoodie Allen' and 'Delta Rae' along with EDM superstar David Guetta. Popular nineties rock bands such as 'Third Eye Blind', 'Blue October', rockers Alabama Shakes and R&B crooner J. Cole will also be making an appearance at the festival. Along with these renowned bands, Live Nation blended in some local bands as well including Larry g(EE), Midlake and A.Dd+.
Formed in Portland, 'The Dandy Warhols' are an American band focusing on rock music genre. The band was formed by guitarist Peter Holmström and singer-guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor in 1994. They were later joined in by drummer Brent DeBoer and keyboardist Zia McCabe. The band gained massive popularity with their song "Bohemian Like You". 'Hoodie Allen' is the stage name of Steven Markowitz who is known as an independent American singer, hip-hop artist and rapper. The American folk rock band 'Delta Rae' was formed in Durham. The band comprises of three siblings, vocalist Brittany Hölljes, vocalist and guitarist Ian Hölljes, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Eric Hölljes as well as percussionist Mike McKee, bass guitarist Grant Emerson and vocalist Elizabeth Hopkins. Superstar Pierre David Guetta is popularly known for his stage name 'David Guetta' stylized as D?VID GUETT?. This electronic music luminary is the winner of two Grammy Awards and has sold over fifteen million singles and six million albums globally.

Current members of the band include Stephan Jenkins, Brad Hargreaves, Kryz Reid, Alex Kopp and Alex LeCavalier. Over the years they have won numerous awards including the Billboard Music Award and three California Music Awards. The American alternative rock band 'Blue October' is originally from Texas. The current members of the band include Justin Furstenfeld, Ryan Delahoussaye, Jeremy Furstenfeld, Matt Noveskey and C.B. Hudson. Nominated three times for the 2013 Grammy Awards, 'Alabama Shakes' is an American rock band that was formed in 2009 in Alabama. Members of the band include Brittany Howard, Zac Cockrell, Heath Fogg and Steve Johnson. The list of spectacular artists scheduled to perform at the festival continues.
