Skrillex Tickets

Skrillex is the professional name of Sonny Moore, an American who is known as a dubstep/electro house producer from the city of Los Angeles, in California. He is also the ex-front-man of the band based in America, called ?From First to Last'.

Skrillex was raised in the Northeast Los Angeles and from there he went on to become the lead singer of the band From First to Last. Originally, he got in touch with the Matt Good, a member From First to Last and requested him to take him up as a guitarist of the band on their first album. But when he went to Georgia, Skrillex was made the lead vocalist of the band because of his amazing singing talent by the studio producers, Eric Dale, McHale Butler and Derrick Thomas. Matt Good was made the guitarist. The band released their debut album in 2004 in June, alongside their new band member, Dear Diary. The album was called My Teen Angst Has a Body Count and was released by Epitaph Records. After that came the band's next album, titled Heroine, which was produced by Ross Robinson, in 2006. Both the albums did extremely good business and the band found itself becoming more and more successful. All was good until Skrillex became sick and started to suffer from certain problems related to his vocals. He went through a surgical process that was successful and was able to go back to singing. It was then that he told the band about his plans to go solo as a music artist. He resigned from the band and embarked on his solo career.

Skrillex opened up his own MySpace page and on it he exhibited the three demos, Glow Worm, Signal and Equinox, which he had recorded as a solo artist. All the three tracks did well and soon after he got the chance to give his first performance ever without the band, with Carol Robbins, a harpist, at a neighboring building in 2007. There he performed many of his own original songs. He kept on releasing his demos through his MySpace and went on a tour with a titled ?Team Sleep Tour'.

On this tour he exclusively made available many of his demo CDs, limiting them to only 30 CDs per show. In 2008, Skrillex started to produce as well as perform at several clubs in Los Angeles and decided to record and release his debut album, titled Bells, but it never saw the light of the day. Later on in 2009, on the 7th of April, Skrillex released his first digital EP, called ?Gypsy Hook'. It had three original songs along with four remixed songs. The hard copies of it were made available during his live shows. On the 7th of June, in the year 2010, he released his first official EP and called it My Name is Skrillex. He made it available on the internet for free downloading. Later on, in the same year, he worked with a metal core band called ?Bring Me the Horizon', as their programmer as well as the vocalist on their album. He also released his own EP named Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites in 2010.

This year, 2011, Skrillex has been touring with the likes of Porter Robinson, DJ Aero and Tommy Lee, on a tour called ?Project Blur Book Tour'. He has made public several of his new songs, such as Cinema, First of the Year and Reptile. He also announced the name of his follow up to Scary Monsters and Scary Sprite EP, called More Monsters and Sprites, which was released on the 21st of June on iTunes. It contained three original songs and four remixed version of songs from the previous EP.

Skrillex also just finished his first Australian tour ever in May, in 2011. His first solo tour was in 2007, when he went on a tour called Team Sleep tour, along with three other bands, ?team Sleep', ?Monster in the Machine' and ?Strata'. Then afterwards he came up with a new lineup of band members and embarked on the ?Alternative Press Tour of North America'.
