Rock Roll Fantasy Camp
Rock ?n Roll Fantasy Camp is the ultimate music experience that is offered in New York, Las Vegas, London and Hollywood. This one-of-a-kind fantasy camp brings music lovers of all levels together with professional rock ?n roll stars.
The event is becoming more of a cultural phenomenon and has been featured on television shows such as Ellen and The Simpsons. It has also been regarded as the ?most amazing rock n roll lifestyle experience? by The Times and ?brilliant? by Good Morning America.
Rock n Roll?s typical experience lasts for 5 days and allows players of all levels together to share the stage with musicians such as Roger Daltrey (The Who), Slash (Guns N? Roses and Velvet Revolver), Vince Neil (M?tley Cr?e), Paul Stanley (KISS), Joe Walsh (The Eagles) and others.
For the novice and the expert, the amateur and the aficionado, the festival makes rock n roll dreams come true. Simply stated, the organization?s mission is to bring people?s musical fantasies to life.
For decades, music aficionados have combined their passion for the arts with a desire to travel whether to catch a concert in a remote Midwestern locale, enjoy ?Madame Butterfly? in Paris? famed Opera House or see a Broadway play under the bright lights of Times Square.
Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp makes everyday surgeons, students, plumbers, stay-at-home parents full-fledged rock stars through an intensive series of classes, workshops and tutorials. The one day camp takes place in various cities across the United States and includes opening for a major rock act.
Rock n Roll Festival brings music lovers the unforgettable opportunity to move from spectator to the stage, sharing the limelight with living legends. As a participant in a fantasy camp, you?ll be treated like a rock star.
Participants live the rock n? roll lifestyle day in and day out, learning or perfecting their knowledge of an instrument, practicing and jamming with their band mates and learning the ins and outs of the music business.
The four-day camp takes place once or twice a year but isn?t always held in the same location. This offers repeat attendees to enjoy different atmospheres.
The last session took place in Los Angeles in February 2008 whereas the next is expected to occur in London in November 2008. Camp sessions are limited to 70 people, arranged into groups of six or seven band members.
They are given instruction by a designated professional musician. Participants write, play and perform on their own songs in front of a sold-out crowd.
Fantasy Camp knows no discrimination, age, race, profession or gender. There are those like Hofstetter, president of a real estate management firm, New Boston Management Services, who have enjoyed successful careers and are simply attending it for a bit of fun.
Then there are others in their teens and 20s who actually want to take out their potential making them future rock star. While commenting on how did it feel like being a part of the fantasy camp, Hofstetter says, ?You can come in there and play a tambourine, they don?t care.
It?s all about getting immersed in the camp and if you just want to go hang out and sing, there are plenty of people who do that, too. It?s not a competition but just a really fun time.
