Those were included the Ottawa mayor Charlotte Whitton and the then-Prime Minister John Diefenbaker. By age 17, Little and Scott both had started performing professionally in night clubs. Later, Rich joined Ottawa's Little Theatre, acted there and became a successful disc jockey. He would be frequently incorporating impersonations into his show.

In 1981, Rich Little came up with The New You Asked for It, an attempt that was away from his gallery of characterizations. Little has also released nine albums and made several appearances in various movies.
