Rachid Badouri was born in Montreal and grew up in Laval. Growing up under the influence of both French and American cultures, Rachid began to perform at a very young age. His first experimentation with comic presentation came with parodies of Michael Jackson and mimicry of other notable figures. He has the ability to entertain young and adults alike with his humor. While studying in college, he joined the Cégep Montmorency improvisation team and made his official debut on stage. However, despite his incredible knack for comedy and performance talents, it was a while before Rachid could professionally pursue his passions. After finishing his education, in 1997, Rachid became a flight attendant for Air Transat for five years. He continued performing in the meantime and gained a lot of recognition for his works. In 1999, he also took part in the competition 'Youth for Laughter' and won the third prize.

In 2002, Rachid Badouri finally decided to embark on a professional entertainment career and left his job to become the manager of the audio-video section at the Future Shop Anjou. Two years later, he produced a promotional DVD and dropped a copy of it at the Just for Laughs office. As they say, the rest is history; Rachid Badouri had arrived.

Rachid Badouri was offered to perform at the notable galas by Just for Laughs and shortly after he got to showcase his talents at the St-Denis Gala, which was hosted by Louis-José Houde. He made his audiences roll over with laughter throughout his performance and also bagged the Newcomer of the Year Award. This added immensely to his public exposure and media coverage and opened even more channels for the talented star to present his comic abilities. In 2006, his fan following swelled further as he entered the world of radio with 'Juice and Dufort' followed by his TV debut with Sucré Salé. In October 2007, Rachid landed his own show, titled "Arrete ton cinema".

Rachid Badouri also lent his voice to animated movies, most notably to the character Mamo from 'Happily N'Ever After' and Cody from 'The Surf's Up'.
