Projekt Revolution Tour
Projekt Revolution - an annual concert tour headlined by Linkin Park, which takes place in the United States, however, for the first time, Projekt Rev' 2007 will be in Toronto (Canada) as well, with focus to bridge the gap between rock and hip-hop by bringing the top artists of the genres on a common platform for a concert experience rarely witnessed. In its first three years, Projekt Revolution brought together almost twenty different performers including Adema, Cypress Hill, Korn, Snoop Dogg, and Mudvayne.
Fans can look forward to see Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, HIM, Placebo and Julien-K on the main stage and Mindless Self Indulgence, Saosin, The Bled, Styles of Beyond and Madina Lake on the second stage. Projekt Revolution and Music For Relief have been working hard at making this event an environmentally mindful effort.
Also, Projekt Revolution and Music For Relief will be donating one dollar from each ticket to give to American Forests for their global ReLeaf program to plant trees to help reduce global temperatures. Recently, Linkin Park performed some of the new tracks from their recently released third studio album, Minutes to Midnight, to a sold out crowd of 40,000 at the Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey. Presently, their track is no#1 in Alternative and Active Rock radio and sold more than 275,000 downloads to date of the first single What I've Done.
Linkin Park comprises of Chester Bennington (vocals), Rob Bourdon (drums), Brad Delson (guitar), Joe Hahn (DJ), Dave Phoenix Farrell (bass) and Mike Shinoda (vocals). They have attained two Grammy Awards, the first for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2002 with their hit single Crawling and for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Jay-Z in 2006 for the ground-breaking Numb/Encore. Since their debut in 2000, Linkin Park has sold 40 million records worldwide. The Diamond-Certified Hybrid Theory has alone sold more than 18 million copies. Additionally, Linkin Park instituted Music For Relief in January 2005 to provide aid to victims of world catastrophes and reduce global warming.
The New Jersey bred quintet My Chemical Romance will team up with Linkin Park as one of several Main Stage artists. Their latest album, The Black Parade (2006) rose to no#2 on Billboard's 200 Top-Selling Albums chart, selling more than 240,000 copies its first week of release. The platinum-certified album was entitled Album of the Year by Blender Magazine, and the band's Best Album Yet by Entertainment Weekly. Rolling Stone ranked it in their Top 20 Albums of 2006. My Chemical Romance holds Gerard Way (vocals), Ray Toro (guitar), Frank Iero (guitar), Mikey Way (bass) and Bob Bryar (drums). Taking Back Sunday is a New York based melodic hardcore quintet whose latest album, Louder Now (2006), skyrocketed to number two on Billboard's 200 Top-Selling Albums chart a week after its April 23, 2006 release.
This gold-certified album has generated two smash-hits MakeDamnSure and Liar (It Takes One to Know One), which led to three sold-out tours and a MTV Video Music Award nomination (The MTV2 Viewer's Choice award) for MakeDamnSure. The band has sold 2.5 million records worldwide, with Louder Now marking their third consecutive gold album. Taking Back Sunday ends each year with a personalized Holiday Card that is sold to their fans with all proceeds being donated to benefit cancer related charities chosen by family members who have been affected by the disease. Taking Back Sunday includes members Adam Lazara (lead vocals), Fred Mascherino (lead guitar/vocals), Eddie Reyes (rhythm guitar), Mark O'Connell (drums) and Matt Rubano (bass).

They are the first band from Finland to sell 500,000 copies of Dark Light (2007), their latest record, in America making them a gold-record selling artist. They are currently in the studio getting ready to release their second full-length album, which will be out in September. Currently, HIM includes members Ville Valo (vocals), Mikko Lindstrom (guitar), Mikko Paananen (bass), Janne Burton Puurtinen (keyboard) and Mika Gas Karppinen (drums).
