The 55 year old band has been giving the music lovers timeless hits to enjoy since 1958 and still continues to do so. These include 'Ups and Downs', 'Him or Me -What's It Gonna Be?', 'Good Thing', 'Birds of A Feather', 'Stepping Stone', 'The Great Airplane Strike' along with many others.
At present, the band has released a total of 14 studio albums, 2 live albums, 15 compilation albums and 39 singles. Many of their albums and singles have sold millions of copies worldwide and have found their place on top of several music charts. However, the band reached the peak popularity in its career with their number single Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian) in 1971. Though several others became quite famous as well but unfortunately the group was unable to produce any other song as successful as that one.
Apart from that, four of the group's albums namely Just Like Us! (1966), Midnight Ride (1966), The Spirit of '67 (1966) and Greatest Hits (1967) have received the United States Gold certifications while the 1971's famous single Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian) was certified U.S Platinum.
These albums have also secured prominent places on various music charts. 'Just Like Us!' received the 5th position on the United States Music charts while 'Midnight Ride' came at number 9 and so did 'The Spirit of '67' and 'Greatest Hits'. However, the brilliant single 'Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)' outshone them all by topping both the United States Billboard as well as the United States Cashbox Music charts. Not only has the song sold 4 million copies up till now but it is still loved by people even today and is a major crowd favorite at the band's concerts and live shows.
