The Osheaga Festival is one of the most exciting music and arts festivals in Canada. It takes place each year at Parc Jean–Drapeau in Montreal, Quebec. It has been taking place annually since 2006 and was founded by Nick Farkas. The festival is held at the side of the Ile Sainte–Helene each summer and hosts five stages. These are dubbed the River Stage, the Mountain Stage, the Green Stage, Zone Picnik Electronik and the Trees Stage.

The who's who of the music industry have played at the Osheaga Festival. In 2013, more than one hundred and twenty thousand people visited the festival, with many of them coming from various parts of Canada, the US and Europe. Over a hundred bands play at the various Osheaga Festival stages each year. The festival also allows up and coming artists in Canada, to share the stage with established artists like Eminem, Coldplay, The Killers, The Roots, Arcade Fire and Rufus Wainwright.
This year, headliners at the festival include Outkast, Jack White, the Arctic Monkeys and Skrillex. Other artists performing include Lorde, The Replacements, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Foster The People, Modest Mouse, J. Cole, Chase & Status, AWOLNATION, Half Moon Run, Chromeo and Chvrches.
Outkast are American hip hop and soul icons, who have been active since 1992, barring a hiatus from 2006 to 2014. Newly reunited, the hip hop duo is back to performing groovy hip hop tunes. Outkast's music has been released by Sony Music, RCA and now by Epic. The duo has performed with the likes Cee Lo green, Mr. DJ, George Clinton, Dungeon Family and Killer Mike.
Outkast's two members are Andre 'Andre 3000' Benjamin and Antwan 'Big Boi' Patton. Founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992, Oukast were initially known as Two Shades Deep and introduced a musical style that married hip hop with soul, jazz, rock, funk, blues and even electronic music. Their songs have topped the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart and are now staples in the genre.
Outkast have won numerous awards, including the Grammy Award for the Album of the Year. This was a monumental achievement and made the duo the only hip hop group to win the award. The duo is one of the most successful acts in hip hop and has sold around twenty five million records and has bagged six Grammy Awards.
In 2014, Outkast reunited and kicked off a concert series, starting off with Coachella. Osheaga is one of the stops of this duo and you can catch them live in concert here.
Iconic rock star, Jack White is also set to headline Osheaga. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan he began performing in 1990. His music has been released by Warner Bros, XL, Sub Pop, Italy and Third Man. White has performed with many prominent artists in the music industry, including Alicia Keys, The Rolling Stones, Beck, Bob Dylan, The Raconteurs, Meg White, Norah Jones and The Black Belles. He is a musician, singer, songwriter, multi–instrumentalist and record producer.
Jack White has been included in Rolling Stones magazine's list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists. He is a founding member of the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather. White has been awarded the title of Nashville Music City Ambassador and is a member of the Library of Congress' National Recording Preservation Foundation.
White has received many accolades during his career. He has received awards and nominations from the Academy Awards, American Music Awards, BRIT Awards, Grammy Awards, Country Music Awards, MTV Music Awards and People's Choice Awards.
