Their success would not be limited to British Isles or Europe, as they would later on sign a deal with the North America record giant to Columbia Records. It had been more than a decade since any real success for a boy band happened in mainstream music. The massive success of Justin Bieber had made it crystal clear that there is a huge market for such music and One Direction has further strengthened that genre. The critics evaluation of One Direction's music, songs and lyrics has been very positive throughout. Their success can be attributes to a widely accepted version of pop paired with  drop dead cute looks or simply everything about One Direction advocates puppy love.
