The board members invest a lot of time and effort to ensure that the event is a success.
At the NEBRASKAland Days festival Cody's Wild West Show brews up quite a ruckus. It dates back to the 4th of July, 1882, when William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody held the Old Glory Blowout in North Platte. The show began to be known as "Buffalo Bill's Wild West". It was a circus like attraction that toured the US each year. Featuring bronc and buffalo riding, roping and many other shows, the Buffalo Bill Rodeo is a must watch for people at the NEBRASKAland Days festival. Buffalo Bill is remembered by awarding the Buffalo Bill Award to well-known Western film stars at the event.
The NEBRASKAland Days Festival keeps on springing up plenty of entertainment for its guests, with concerts by two very famous stars scheduled for the latter half of the event. The lineup for this year includes Billy Currington and Lady Antebellum.
Billy Currington is a singer and songwriter, known for his country music hits such as "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right", "Hey Girl" and "Good Directions". He is a Grammy Award and Academy of Country Music Award nominee, with five studio albums to his name. Raised in Rincon, Georgia, Currington moved to Nashville, hoping to give his music career a boost. Singing at clubs and working at a concrete company, his fortunes turned for the better when he met producer Carson Chamberlain.
Currington signed with Mercury Records and released his first single in 2003, titled "Walk a Little Straighter". Drawing from his childhood experiences, the single was good enough to motivate Currington to follow it up with an album. Since then the country singer has landed more than ten, top forty hits.
Lady Antebellum are also a country music group, consisting of three musicians Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The trio got together in 2006 and began to perform as Lady. With the first single from their debut album, peaking at number three on the Hot Country Songs Charts, it was only a matter of time before the band joined the ranks of the best musicians from Nashville. Lady Antebellum initiated their Grammy winning streak in 2010 when they bagged the award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. In 2011 they swept the Grammy Awards with five awards to their name, while they won another Grammy in 2012. Dance to the tunes, as these two country singers pep up the tempo at the NEBRASKAland Days Festival.
