Michael Baisden is an American author, along with being a very famous motivational speaker. He is host of the TV One talk show- Baisden After Dark, and also of his own nationally-syndicated radio show.
He has become the favorite of many since his radio career took shape. Attaining the attention of female followers first, the man now has become a people magnet due to his vibrant and enthusiastic personality on and off air.
Born on 27th June, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, Michael Baisden is a father of a teenage daughter and was married from 1993 to 1998. Before entering the world of media, he was a train driver at the Chicago Transit Authority and was also in the US Air Force.
Baisden primarily gained attention from his female followers first, being the author and publisher of extremely winning inspirational books, which included, Never Satisfied: How and Why Men Cheat, and Gods Gift to Women. Whereas, Michael Baisdens other books, like The Maintenance Man and Men Cry in the Dark were tailored into stage plays which toured the country in the years 2001 and 2002.
Baisden has now become a people magnet, and is best known for this quality. Baisdens radio career started in 2003, with the position of the afternoon drive-time host on 98.7 KISS FM in the City of New York. His hard work and efforts brought the radio stations drives ratings to a much higher standard, eventually bringing it to number 1 from 9.
After consist high ratings in the previous eight-months, Baisden suggested and insisted to take his show national but management was afraid keeping in mind that the City of New York is not yet ready for it. This was an answer not good enough for Michael Baisden, as he had no doubt about his talents and he firmly believed in himself in making the show one of the best in town.
One of his best life time moments include the 2007 event of Jena, Louisiana, where he overpoweringly and competently lead the famous Jena 6 March. This significant and earth-shattering occasion gathered large majority citizens of all races to peacefully march for the cause of supporting the six youthful men who had been treated unjustly by the justice system.
Baisden also urged a large number of his radio listeners throughout the nation to wear black clothes in protest of this unequal justice. Baisdens word received huge success, as literally everyone, from students to corporate executives, wore black in support of the Jena 6 issue.
Now, as Michael Baisden pursues one of his pioneer dreams of hosting a Late Night Talk Show, entitled Baisden After Dark, the Bad Boy continues to enlighten, entertain, and educate his fans. He got this opportunity in the fall of 2007.
Since then, the show became a super-hit and broke all records for viewers on the black owned network. The man is highly entertaining along with being enlightening at the same time.
