Carnegie Hall is one of Midtown Manhattan's concert venues. In 1891, the arena was built by Andrew Carnegie and designed by William Burnet Tuthill, a renowned architect of his time. Unlike other conventional venues, Carnegie has its very own marketing, developing and artistic programming team, which work in popular and classical music events and organize around 250 performances every season. Every year, a number of artists and operas stop by Carnegie as well. The venue has three separate halls, and Stern Auditorium has a seating capacity of around 2,805, Zankel Hall has 599 and Weill Recital Hall has around 268. Over the years, the venue has been host to some of the most memorable events. Now it will host a concert by Cargill.
Karen Cargill has made her name in the industry in a very short time. She studied music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, National Opera Studio and University of Toronto. In 2002, she was Kathleen Ferrier Award's joint winner, an accomplishment that acted as a stepping stone towards fame. Over the years, she has made several live appearances. She gave recital at Wigmore Hall with Simon Lepper, has been in a live performance with the Nash Ensemble and also in a duet performance of recital with Sally Matthews. Among her future plans, one is her debut at the Carnegie Hall, for which Karen Cargill tickets are currently up for sale. Other plans include recitals at Oper Stuttgart and Concertgebouw, which will also feature Sally and Lepper. She also plans to give a recital for Scotland's BBC.
Karen Cargill plans to continue with concerts, operas as well as recitals, which makes her 2014 schedule jam packed. She will be touring across the world for this year's performances. In the past, the artist has made several appearances as well and has sung, performed and given recitals at sold out venues. These include, BBC Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Other highlights from the past are Verdi Requiem and Berlioz L'enfance du Christ with the Sir Colin Davis and LSO, Waltraute Götterdämmerung with the Deutsches Oper and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Rattle and Robin Ticciati and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the SCO. So, if you wish to catch her upcoming performances live, now will be the right time to book your tickets.
