Details of Jurassic and the Ticket Luck value
The group of six talented musicians called 'Jurassic 5' is an exceptional combination of rappers and disc jockeys. The band came into formation in 1993 and their first EP was termed as the freshest debuts of the year by the critics. Two decades down the line, even with a seven years' long hiatus in between, Jurassic 5 has kept its fan following intact. Now you also have a chance to watch this incredible band perform. Get your Jurassic 5 tickets and watch them groove live.
The roots of the band can be traced back to two music acts, the Unity Committee and the Rebels of Rhythm. From these two groups, four rappers Zaakir aka Soup, Akil, Chali 2na, Mark 7even and two disc-spinner maestros DJ Cut Chemist and DJ Nu-Mark came together to make Jurassic 5. The band came into being at the California Venue "Good Life". Cut Chemist and Chali 2na are also part of the Latin hip-hop group 'Ozomatli'.
They made their professional debuted in 1995 with the single Unified Rebelution. Two years later, the ensemble released their "Jurassic 5 EP." By this time the band was already on its way to stardom and had gained the stature of a key player in the nineties hip-hop movement. Additional tracks were later added to it and the EP was released as a full fledge album, titled "Jurassic 5 LP".
In 2000, Jurassic 5 toured with Fiona Apple and also appeared on the Warped Tour. The same year, their sophomore album titled "Quality Control"also came out. The band continued performing for another year and a half. In 2002 their third album, "Power in Numbers" was released.
The group's performance at the Warped Tour as well as at events like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza helped them earn a large number of fans, even outside hip-hop. In 2006, another full length extended play "Feedback"came out. By now Cut Chemist had left the group and the EP included only the remaining quintet. Shortly after its release, the group announced its breakup. In 2013, however, the band reunited once again with all six members and played at the Coachella Festival. That was followed by their inclusion in the Glastonbury Festival line up for 2014.
Jurassic 5 produce music that gives a reflection of New York's Native Tonguese Posse- the late eighties collaboration of musicians who revived the rap's social agenda. Some of their songs also include a hypnotic flute loop that is a new thing in hip-hop music. Concrete Schoolyard and Jayou are examples of both these features.
They are famous for providing their fans with a great time when they perform live concerts and the upcoming performance is expected to be no different. They have announced a full summer tour in 2014 and their next destination is your city. Get your Jurassic 5 tickets and prepare to become part of an exciting live performance.
